Side jobs are available on every station, but we do not yet have missions. However, we decided to open Ross 154 now to give tier 4 players a chance to smooth their progression.
Of course, we’ve been doing a lot more than just just adding side jobs and items. Some changes are small, such as citizens now having their age and birthdate listed.
Or when you look at another character, we’ve fixed the text to not show silly things such as “Ovid appears to be wearing a the powell and carrying a the nakatomi plasma.” That little annoyance has been there a while. Yes, there are still annoyances there!
We’ve identified some conditions in side jobs which could make them impossible to complete and we’ve worked to fix those.
For combat, we’ve rebalanced the rush/retreat success rates and have made the Agile Combat courses actually useful. We’ve also fixed some fatal errors that would intermittently crop up in combat.
There’s also a huge amount of work which has been done under the hood. Did you know that technically, your character’s inventory could accidentally point to a station locker inventory? That would be awkward—not to mention crushing you under its weight! It’s never happened before, and now it can’t happen.
We’ve also done work to try to add more variety to market stall items and to make sure their items make sense. It’s a tiny thing that you may not notice, but we notice it and lots of little “make it perfect” touches like this are the kinds of things we’re proud of. And more work with career tasks along with another university.
We hope you enjoy this update as much as we did creating it!
