Today’s issue is a special travel advisory for those considering a visit to Sirius Jump Gate. As the entry point to an all-Freebooter system, this place makes quite the first impression. Here are some handy pointers to ensure it’s not one you remember for the wrong reasons…

Last tenspan we gave you an introduction to Sirius, but what does each station have to offer? Let’s start by zooming into Sirius’ self-proclaimed “most welcoming station”, House of Congo! Many of the locals consider it their real home, having escaped the Consortium’s Orwellian eye or Gaule’s militaristic tendencies to live somewhere they can truly be themselves. But what does that mean for the people who reside here? Let’s find out!Continue reading "Galactic Destinations: House of Congo"
The Sirius System, these cycles, is anything but a serious place! This entire quadrant, whilst once a Consortium owned research and mining-centric part of the galaxy, quickly fell to Freebooter rule in the early cycles after the Catastrophe. The word, ‘fell’ is however, perhaps, incorrect in this case as the shift in administration, and I use the term in its loosest possible sense, was very much welcomed by most of the surviving population.

These are interesting times we exist in indeed! Finally, after hundreds of cycles after a near extinction event that, to this day, has left our civilization with a galactic sized mystery and source of insecurity as a species, we are now in a place to begin asking questions. A think tank has been created and freelancers evaluated for field research.
Yet for every step forward, for every new clue uncovered, we meet resistance, even hostility. To that end, we must draw others to the cause, making allies and friends. And, if scientific protocol is to be observed, these persons of interest must be meticulously cataloged! Today it is my distinct pleasure to start the process off with the honorable Captain Vollmer.
Four new missions await, along with artwork for archive entries, 27 mission givers, and 17 weapons. The storage management feature received a speed boost and our team improved some aspects of messaging. Finally, many small text improvements are also included in this latest game update!

We’ve had another great Citizen Council meeting.
For those not familiar with the Citizen Council, Tau Station collaborates directly with our citizens (players). The citizens elect council members to represent them and they have regular video meetings with us to share citizen feedback. The council members also have access to a test server to help preview upcoming features. This has been invaluable in terms of building great communication between the development team and the players.

Let’s start a new old-earth month with a content update! Two new missions are now available and an existing one has been reactivated for you. The CORETECHS received several content updates, such as information about genotype food, companies and social events. The team processed a bunch of Community reports (thanks), genotype food images now indicate who benefits from a bonus. Several improvements have been applied, and you’re now able to decline sent items from any Shipping Bay. The shop is now open.
