As the jumpgate pathways are being realigned and brought back into the galactic network, we are able to access further information on the stations of Ross 154. As always, the entry-point into the system is the jumpgate and, with the mesh links reestablished and lines of communication now open, we can bring you some information about it!

If humanity were a network, till very recently, it has been a fractured one. Slowly, system by system, station by station, we began to find each other again, to reconnect the nodes. After so much time apart, it was with great joy that we spoke again, heard each other’s voices. However, after so much time apart, some of us had learnt to speak a little differently.
We have recently reestablished contact with Ross 154, a distant system whose jumpgate is soon to be accessible once more. It is the perfect example of how evolution, be it social or otherwise, works in the vacuum of separation.

During the darkest of times, while a candle may provide light that is both pure and illuminating, a blaster bolt often shines brighter and cuts right to the heart of the matter. Where law protects, guides, and nurtures, ofttimes a dollop of chaos can expedite matters and inspire greatness of solution! Both sentiments can be attributed to Captain Jelena Starkiss.

How blessings brighten as they take their flight.
How pertinent a sentence, allegedly uttered by a poet of ancient Terran origin, that applies aptly to the recent discovery of an entire fleet of sleek and steady vessels to ferry us through the Black. The Mantis Class Private Cruiser, a ship I have had the distinct pleasure of being allowed to fly. Tune in, loyal followers, for my enlightening review!

2020 is eventually and inevitably coming to an end. So what better way to say goodbye to this trying year than to finish on a major update for Tau Station?!
A new Emberfest is upon us! The air glitters with hundreds of holo-embers and, perhaps, just a dash more hope than before. It seems like an age since the previous Emberfest so long ago. The time between has been unprecedented, with most of us orbiting each other and our loved ones at a far distance, fighting to forge through the challenges we all face.
So, as the holidays dock into our port like an interstellar cruiser transporting hope and cheer, we want to wish you all our love and appreciation, our sincerest hopes for an amazing, gorgeous, and above all healthy 2021… and, maybe, just a little cheesy, sci-fi holiday poetry!

“The human species thinks in metaphors and learns through stories.”
Mary Catherine Bateson
It is perhaps an understatement of galactic proportions to say that here on Tau Station, we love story. We all have a love of reading, of good fantasy and sci fi. Most of us are also storytellers in our own right, be it through the visual medium, that of words, games, or the lost art of holo-weaving.
It is with no small amount of pride, therefore, that we react to moments of our own Citizens and players picking up the figurative holo-quill and creating their own stories!
Today we’re showcasing one such fantastic event, Unofficial Tau Station Short Story Contest!

This update, is very precious to us and I really hope it will bring you a beautiful smile. There is so much work behind it. Not everything will be obvious to you, hopefully, but one of the core element is the release of version 1 of interactive combat. We are really looking forward to your feedback and will add it to the other functionalities we are currently working on.
Oh, one more thing, maybe you want to consider playing combat horizontally, as in 2021 everything will be better this way 🙂

Saying goodbye is never easy, but in 3 days I will disembark from our beloved space station. After nearly 13 awesome cycles with all of you, team and Citizens, my journey has come to end. I am sad, but at the same time very grateful and full of love. Knowing about the upcoming features and awesome (not only nice!) UI upgrade, I see a bright future for Tau Station.
