Greetings! Today we will continue our series presenting the twelve stellar Community members who have applied to become members of the first Tau Station Citizen Council.
In today’s segment, we share the statements of well-known Citizens about town Geoff and Geno-Asterkin.

A charter member of the Knights of the Round Tuit [ODD], contributor to the wiki, creator of a subway style map of the jump gate network, and participant in the game chat, I have been in the Tauverse for a while and now ask for your support to be on the Citizen Council.
My focus is on:
- making the game less painful to play by reducing extra scrolling or button clicking where possible
- making it efficient to play for just a few minutes at a time
- continuing our inviting and inclusive culture in chat and the game
Here are some of my forum posts to show some of the topics that I hope to get improved:
- Mission navigation
- Easier gifting to new players
- A page to show what is going to expire when
- Boss button
- Portable university nanites
- Travel agents – partially implemented with new multi jump courses for ship captains
- A third color for stats during combat

Preface
First I’d like to take a moment to thank the staff, developers, and the players here at Tau Station for their concerted efforts at building an enjoyable experience together!
Overview
As a player while Tau Station is still young, I believe it is important to weigh the intended game experience against the full potential its web of mechanics could allow, both for current and prospective content. Ultimately I view the role of a Citizen Council member as an extension of my role as a player: one that entails being a mediator between the ever-growing number of players and the developers–a translator between experience and mechanics. As such, being granted a position on the Citizen Council would poise me to work together with everyone to reconcile potential discrepancies between the vision of what Tau Station could be with the reality of Tau Station experienced by those exploring the Tauverse.
Vision, Beginnings and Onward
There are a number of things I look forward to collaborating on, soon and in the future, but I have provided a brief list of some important ones below:
- Combat/”stats arms race” (both for PvP and PvE experience)
- UI and gameplay QoL
- Medical Stims
- Experience gain
- Syndicate Campaigns
- Player interaction, activities and features
- Careers/perks
- Player decisions and their impact on a dynamic Tauverse
Thanks to everyone once again for your time and consideration with regard to the Citizen Council, and for your commitment to building Tau Station to be the best it can be!
–Geno-Asterkin
About the Citizen Council
The Citizen Council is a new institution of your Community with elected members who will have frequent meetings with the staff team of Tau Station. This way we can discuss topics, priorities and share insights into both directions. All details can be found in the recent announcement.
The current promotion period will end on the 14th of March, end of day (201.41/00:000 GCT). The election is then conducted on the 15th of March. You can also find the list of all 12 candidates, including their statements, in the CORETECHS – Citizen Council.
