“The engineers of the future will be poets.” –Terence McKenna
We love a story…this is the type of statement we could enter were we vying for understatement of the galaxy. Our ongoing mission, that we wholeheartedly chose to accept, was to fill the universe of Tau Station with endless narratives and engaging adventures! To that end, we bring you another segment of Mission Dispatches to tease some upcoming, incoming, tales!

Our Aesthetics Regulation Taskforce has been especially industrious this cycle. An upcoming update is positively brimming with new arms and armors with which a citizen can accessorize their arsenal. It’s a dangerous galaxy out there and we want to make sure that if you do battle, you do it in style!

Salutations salubrious listeners! Your main brain, Frasier the Crane, comes at you across the ever so slightly less than legitimate Freebooter airwaves once again!
Now, I once recall seeing a man enter battle with shoddy armor. I recall pontificating later that there were cheeses on ancient Earth that had less holes than this gentleman’s body.

To the largest extent, we are reestablishing contact with more and more star systems as astro engineers work ceaselessly to reconnect bridges via jump gates. With each new system, a new bridge is brought back into the fold, with new connections to other systems. Slowly, hopefully, we continue to reclaim far flung communities separated in the Black during the Catastrophe.
Occasionally, however, the link is already open, but travel is hindered by some other aspect. Sometimes it is control of the route by Freebooters, for example.
In the case of Ross 248 however, it is down to corporate policy and negotiations with a quantum level of complexity when it comes to fine print!
Join us this segment as we learn a little about this, hopefully soon to be accessible system and home to Hemingway’s Hyperdashery!

“Space is big. Really big. You just won’t believe how vastly, hugely, mind-bogglingly big it is.” Excerpt from a small fragment of an ancient Terran guide to galactic life found after the Catastrophe.
After the Catastrophe, what remains of humanity exists is space stations scattered around the galaxy. Space, it is said, is what now binds human civilization. It is the dark and murky sea in which we flounder, struggling to stay afloat in. It is what gives us purpose, bonds us together against a cold, zero-atmospheric foe that would wipe us out but for a few meters of corroded metal and ancient rock.
But we need it. Space is also our challenge, it drives us, lights the fires of our inspiration on how to survive it, traverse it, and even utilize it. It would be the death of us all, and thus we fight against it, stand against it, build our hulls to steadfastly protect us from it.
Space, it turns out, is, at least for now, our home.
From the musings of Maya Von Christova – Benevolent Dynamics

The galaxy sure is a biggun. Whole place is mindbogglingly vast, they say! And, thanks to them astro-engineering folks consistently workin’ them jump gates, it’s getting a might smaller in terms of our own perceptions. One of the greatest aspects of this here phenomenon is the reclamation and re-embracation thereof of long lost or even newfangled traditions!
OmReAthletics is one such beauty to recently come back to us from the Ross 154 system! Join us for a segment to talk up this bit of Culture of the ‘Verse!

Luxury, one often finds, is scarce in a post-catastrophe civilization. Most, whislt struggling to survive a near extinction level event, rarely are able to afford such amenities that some of us find essential to any sort of life worth living (or taking)! For us few elite, such considerations, however, are never off the table! Welcome to Hemingway’s Hyperdashery, gearing the galaxy in ultra-finery (if you can afford it).

The humans of Tau Station are as diverse and brilliant as the stars within which our galaxy swims. Many of them are as skilled as the very engineers who keep the stations afloat and as fueled by ingenuity as the scientists of Benevolent Dynamics! This segment, we would like to shine our plasma torch on Citizen Dotsent!
