The Missions of Tau Station

I like a good story well told. That is the reason I am sometimes forced to tell them myself.

Mark Twain

One of the core pillars of Tau Station are its missions. They are the main medium by which you can experience the many stories of our galaxy, how we introduce you to its denizens and engage you with their struggles, their passions, fears, their loves and laughs. Our missions weave throughout the systems and their stations, tying in themes and genres while guiding you through each narrative.

The Accessibility of Tau Station

“The power of the Web is in its universality. Access by everyone regardless of disability is an essential aspect.”
Sir Tim Berners-Lee – Inventor of the Web (Mesh)

Right from the beginning, we have always held Sir Berners-Lee’s words close to heart. Tau Station has always been designed with accessibility at its very core. We envision a universe that can be experienced by everyone, regardless of personal requirements or situation. And this is exactly how we’ve been designing Tau Station.

Culture of the ‘Verse: Cloning

Greetings to all you crazy cresters of the CORETECHS and magnificent mesh maniacs out there! New series coming your way to inspire and illuminate, tantalize and titillate!

We’re going to spend the next couple of segments, and many more down the road, discoursing the various aspects of culture from around the ‘verse. It’s been a fair few cycles since the  Catastrophe and, when we ain’t looking over our collective shoulders, wondering if there’s another, we’ve actually been living! We just didn’t know we were.

So, once a tenspan or so, we’re gonna take a breather from all that smog and drama and sit back and see where we’re at, culturally speaking!

And today, we’ll be taking a gander at cloning!

Galactic Destinations: Heinlein Stronghold

Today, the peddlers of Galactic Destinations have deigned to visit our most hallowed halls of Heinlein Stronghold. We of the Scientific Schismatics community, however, felt that they could no more do justice to our home amongst the stars than put together a properly constructed and syntactically correct sentence! We have, therefore, requisitioned production of this episode so that you, the humble listeners on the airwaves of the Mesh, may better understand the glorious work that is accomplished herein!

Galactic Destinations: The Sirius System

The Sirius System, these cycles, is anything but a serious place! This entire quadrant, whilst once a Consortium owned research and mining-centric part of the galaxy, quickly fell to Freebooter rule in the early cycles after the Catastrophe. The word, ‘fell’ is however, perhaps, incorrect in this case as the shift in administration, and I use the term in its loosest possible sense, was very much welcomed by most of the surviving population.

Person of Interest: Captain Vollmer

These are interesting times we exist in indeed! Finally, after hundreds of cycles after a near extinction event that, to this day, has left our civilization with a galactic sized mystery and source of insecurity as a species, we are now in a place to begin asking questions. A think tank has been created and freelancers evaluated for field research.

Yet for every step forward, for every new clue uncovered, we meet resistance, even hostility. To that end, we must draw others to the cause, making allies and friends. And, if scientific protocol is to be observed, these persons of interest must be meticulously cataloged! Today it is my distinct pleasure to start the process off with the honorable Captain Vollmer.
